How to Get the Rotor Blueprint in StarRupture: Your Ultimate Guide

How to Get the Rotor Blueprint in StarRupture

Why you even want a Rotor Blueprint

As your street cred with the corporations climbs, their shopping list gets fancier. What started as smelted rocks eventually becomes precision bits like rotors and tubes. The Rotor Blueprint unlocks the recipe at your Recipe Station, so if you want to stop handcrafting sad makeshift parts and start mass-producing sexy machinery, grab this blueprint.

Where to look — the Purple Haze outpost

Head northwest of your base to a place called the SMB “Purple Haze” outpost. It’s hard to miss if you watch the skyline for a busted satellite or antenna poking out of a crater — that’s your landmark. Aim for that crater and you’ll be in the right neighborhood.

How to get inside without doing parkour forever

The rotor lives in the only double-storey building near the back (west side) of the outpost. Circle to the building’s west face, climb the nearby rocks to reach a cliff ledge, and drop in through the open roof. Yes, there’s a slightly dramatic rooftop entrance. Yes, it works.

Expect trouble — pack accordingly

This outpost is basically a welcome party of angry things. Bring plenty of ammo, a charged Medtool, and at least one grenade or crowd-control gadget. You’ll want to be ready for groups of enemies, because the place is stuffed with them.

Where the blueprint actually is

On the second floor of that double-storey building, check the blue container — that’s where the Rotor Blueprint (and the Tubes Blueprint) chill. While you’re at it, loot the rest of the floors: there are materials to scan for Data Points, a few lore drops, and consumables that make future runs easier.

One annoying twist — the spawn trap

Pro tip: picking up the blueprints often triggers another enemy wave outside the building. Close the first-floor door after you loot, finish searching quickly, then make a fast, messy exit when you’re ready. Don’t dawdle — the game will remind you why doors are useful.

How to use the blueprint back at base

Return to your base and talk to the Recipe Station. Open the Fabricator tab and submit the blueprint to unlock the rotor recipe. You’ll need the required Data Points and materials, but once that’s sorted, the Fabricator will start cranking out rotors like a glorified vending machine for engineering joy.

Extra tips and loadout suggestions

Search every floor before leaving — small loot equals big convenience later. If you get overwhelmed, use grenades or run to higher ground and choke points to thin enemy numbers. Also, bring a little extra inventory space: blueprints, materials, and Data Points stack up quickly.
