Quick intro: what the Estelador even is
Think of the Estelador as your personal turbo flipper — a sleek little glider you can slap together early on to zip around the ocean without looking like you welded a lawnmower to your back. It’s the speedy, lightweight cousin of the Seaglide and gives you a nice boost for exploring, scouting, and making a hasty exit from anything that wants to bite you.
Where to look for the blueprints
Good news: all three fragments you need are fairly close to your Lifepod, so you won’t be on a scavenger hunt across the entire map. Follow the compass bearings below and keep your eyes peeled for small research platforms or cave entrances — that’s where the goodies hide.
First blueprint
Exit the Lifepod and head north. Swim for roughly 115–120 meters and you should spot a small cave with a scientist’s platform tucked inside. Explore the cave platform and open the crate there — the first Estelador fragment is usually inside. Scan it to add the fragment to your tech log.
Second blueprint
From the capsule, aim for a heading of about 15–30 on the compass. This area sits near where you first encounter the Angelic Comb and the Digestion adaptation. Another platform will be visible; check the box on that platform for the second fragment and scan it when you find it.
Third blueprint
Set your compass to roughly 75 and start swimming. You’ll likely get sucked into a current that funnels into a cave — don’t fight it, follow it. Not far in you’ll find another platform and an open chest or trunk that contains the final fragment. Scan it and you’ve got the whole recipe.
How to craft the Estelador
Once all fragments are scanned, build the Estelador at your base Fabricator. You’ll need the following materials:
• Silver x1
• Wiring Kit x1
• Grease x1
• Basic Battery x1
Quick tips and silly advice
Pop the Estelador on as soon as you can and enjoy the speed boost — it’s great for exploring new biomes and running away from oversized beaks. Keep an eye on storage space if you like hoarding shiny things, and remember: if something screams at you, it’s a valid reason to glide in the opposite direction.
