The Expanse: Osiris Reborn Edition Guide – Which One Gets You Into the Closed Beta?

Which Expanse: Osiris Reborn Edition Gets You Into the Closed Beta?

Why you should care (short version)

Owlcat’s space-RPG, The Expanse: Osiris Reborn, showed up at the Xbox Partner Showcase flexing big visuals and even bigger ambitions — plus a Closed Beta coming in April. If you want to playtest, brag, or just collect digital swag, your choice of edition actually matters. Here’s the dumbed-down, slightly sarcastic guide to what each edition includes and which ones let you into the beta.

The lineup — quick snapshot

There are four editions: Standard, Deluxe, Miller’s Pack, and Collector’s Edition. Prices run from around €49.99 for the base game up to a wallet-sweating €289 for the collector set. Only Miller’s Pack and the Collector’s Edition include Closed Beta access.

Standard Edition

What you get: the base digital game, a “Backer” title that shows up on Owlcat’s Discord and in-game if you pre-order, and a small exclusive in-game item for early buyers. Price: €49.99. Beta access: nope. This is the buy-it-and-play-it-later option for people who like their finances intact.

Deluxe Edition

Everything in Standard, plus cosmetic extras to make your character look cooler than they actually are: Miller’s Heavy Armor and a Special Operations U.N. Assault Rifle skin unlocked at launch. Your account name also gets a nod in the game credits as a supporter. Price: €59.99. Beta access: still no — but you do get shiny armor for screenshots.

Miller’s Pack

This one’s the sweet spot for fans who want bells and whistles without selling a kidney. It includes Standard and Deluxe content, the digital art book, the soundtrack to binge on during space commutes, Miller’s casual outfit and a revolver weapon, and a fancier placement in the credits (the Hall of Fame). Crucially: buying Miller’s Pack grants access to the Closed Beta. Price: €79.99.

Collector’s Edition

If you like physical heap-o-goodies, this is the braggiest option. You get everything from the digital editions plus a physical bundle: a 20 cm model of the Gemini ship with stand, a printed art book, a metal Gemini medallion, a sticker pack, three embroidered faction patches, all tucked into a square collector’s box featuring the game art. Price: €289. Beta access: yes — and you’ll have the nicest shelf flex at parties.

Which editions get Closed Beta access?

Short answer: Miller’s Pack and the Collector’s Edition. Standard and Deluxe do not include beta access, so don’t cry into your space helmet if that was your goal.

Final thoughts / What I’d buy

If you just want to play at launch and save money, Standard is fine. If you want cosmetics and a credit-line name-drop, get Deluxe. Want to test the game early and get extra digital goodies? Miller’s Pack is the best balance. Collector’s Edition is for die-hard fans and proud collectors who like boxes and models more than reasonable spending. Pick your fighter — or your wallet.
