Castle Dimitrescu is basically a luxury scavenger hunt with vampires, so congrats — you’ve decided to rifle through someone else’s mansion. Below is a no-nonsense (and slightly snarky) guide to every item hiding in the Main Hall. Grab a Knife, aim carefully, and try not to get on Lady Dimitrescu’s bad side.
Main Hall (1F) — What to grab
There are 2 stash spots on the first floor. Quick sweep and you’re done — unless you like drama, in which case loudly smashing vases is on you.
Southwest wall — Turn to face the southwest wall in the Main Hall and open the drawers there. You’ll score Handgun Ammo x5. It’s the polite, boring loot, but it keeps your revolver happy.
Northeast corner — Head to the far northeast corner and find a pearl vase. Use your Knife to smash it and collect 330 Lei. Pretty much the mansion’s version of a hidden cookie jar.
Main Hall (2F) — Upstairs treasures
Upstairs has a few more goodies — 4 in total. You’ll need a mix of shooting and smashing. Also: look up occasionally. Paintings love drama.
Southwest corridor (painting) — In the southwest hallway, look up at the portrait of a man. Shoot the shiny glint at the top of the painting and a Crystal Fragment will drop onto the nearby shelf. Aim true and pretend you meant to do that all along.
Furthest southwest corridor (pearl vase) — Further down the same southwest corridor there’s another pearl vase. Chop it with your Knife to reveal Handgun Ammo x5. No etiquette required.
Northwest corridor (small white vase) — Just past the stairs in the northwest corridor, glance south to spot a tiny white vase on a stand. Smash it with the Knife to get 200 Lei. Tiny vases, tiny cash, same thrill.
Furthest northwest corridor (pearl vase) — At the far end of the northwest corridor there’s yet another pearl vase. Break it with the Knife to nab Gunpowder x1. For when you need explosive personality in your loadout.
Final tips (because you’ll ask anyway)
If an object looks breakable — break it. If something glints, shoot it. Use the Knife to avoid wasting ammo on vases unless you’re into dramatic fireworks. And most importantly: finish your looting and scram before Lady Dimitrescu notices the missing décor. Stealth and speed are your friends.
