Resident Evil Requiem is set to hit Switch 2 and other platforms on 27 February 2026. Ahead of launch, a fresh slice of footage showed up at CES 2026 during Nvidia’s PC demo — packed with path tracing and DLSS 4 multi-frame generation — giving fans a sneak peek of what’s to come.
A Surprisingly Lively City
Throw out the usual boarded-up mansions and instant zombie-on-sight energy for a second: this trailer drops us into a busy urban scene. People, cars and the usual street hustle appear in the clip, which outlets are calling a look at a new place in the series, likely the fictional town of Wrenwood. It’s delightfully weird to see a Resident Evil environment that’s alive… at least until it isn’t.
Big Levels and Returning Characters
Rumor-followers who track Capcom scoops have suggested Requiem might include much larger, more open areas than we’ve seen in recent entries. On top of that, classic series hero Leon Kennedy is back, and the footage also introduces the new lead: Grace Ashcroft, an FBI intelligence analyst who looks like she’s ready to do paperwork and also punch something if required.
