Quick Scoop
Capcom just dropped the launch trailer for Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection and spilled the beans on a bunch of launch goodies. If you like cute chaos, collectible armor, or free stuff that makes your buddies jealous, you’re in the right place.
Save Data Goodies (Bring Your Old Saves)
Good news for longtime riders: owning saves from previous Monster Hunter titles nets you extras in Stories 3. Players who have save data from the earlier Monster Hunter Stories, Monster Hunter Stories 2, and Monster Hunter Rise can unlock special outfits — think Hakum Rider, Mahana Rider, and Kamura-style garb — so your fashion game carries over.
Also, if your system contains data from the Wilds and your game is updated, you’ll score the Hope Layered Armor Set. Link your copy of Stories 3 to a Capcom ID and Rudy gets a snazzy Catcom Works outfit. Translation: nostalgia pays off and your pal Rudy looks cooler.
Free DLC & Preorder Extras
Capcom is launching some zero-cost DLC alongside the game. Everyone will be able to nab the Gold Circlet accessory to wear on your head and a Layered Armor set for Simon called Wind Wyvern’s Friend. If you preorder, you’ll also receive Eleanor’s Layered Armor — the Skyscale Queen set — as an extra incentive to commit early.
Anime Trailer Tease
There’s more than gameplay footage coming — Capcom teased an anime trailer aimed at fleshing out the world. Expect original side-stories not shown in the game, including glimpses of the protagonist’s childhood and their Ranger-era shenanigans. Basically, backstory with a side of dramatic flair.
Demo & Release Info
If you want to test-ride the game first, a demo for Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection is already live on the Switch eShop. The full adventure launches on March 13, 2026, for Switch 2 — mark your calendars and charge your controllers.
Final Thoughts
Trailer? Check. Free gear? Check. Anime tease? Check. Demo to babysit until launch day? Check. If you’re the type who hoards save files like a cuddly hoard of monsters, you’ll probably get a nice pile of extras when Stories 3 goes live. Now go practice your signature pose — you’ll want it for screenshots.
