ARC Raiders Snap and Salvage Quest Guide: Find Flow Controller & Magnetron Easily

ARC Raiders: Snap and Salvage Quest Guide (Flow Controller & Magnetron Locations)

Quick Intro — What You’re Doing and Why

Welcome to Stella Montis, where a quest called Snap and Salvage is basically a scavenger photo shoot with loot. Tian Wen sends you on a three-part errand: snap a rover, find some papers, then grab two exotic parts — a Magnetron and a Flow Controller. Do that and you get gear, bragging rights, and maybe a smug NPC compliment.

Step 1 — Snap a Rover in the Sandbox

Head to the Robotic Sandbox (A or B) down on the lower layer of the map. You’ll spot the Rover perched on a sand pile — think of it as the game’s most awkward model. Clear out nearby threats like turrets, Pops, Fireballs, and Shredders first; shredders are the kind of enemies you either sneak past or regret meeting up close.

When the coast is clear, interact with the Rover to trigger the photo animation. Wait for the little snapshot to finish and that objective ticks off. Easy Insta content, no filters required.

Step 2 — Find Papers in the Security Checkpoint (Lobby)

Next, go up to the main lobby on the first layer and look for the Security Checkpoint. The door is usually locked with a “Security Restricted Access” vibe — either breach it or hope a friendly raider already did the heavy lifting.

Inside, search the desk area for a stack of papers. Interact with the pile and you’ll complete the second objective. Bonus: this room is a good place to practice your dramatic entrance move.

Step 3 — Where to Loot the Magnetron and Flow Controller

The final objectives ask for two Exodus parts: Magnetron and Flow Controller. Best places to check are the Business Center and Assembly areas on layer 1 of Stella Montis — look for breachable lockers, drawers, and cabinets. These parts also sometimes spawn in red lockers in the Rocket Assembly on the Spaceport map if you feel like a longer detour.

Once you find them, stash at least one in your safe pocket so you don’t accidentally lose the quest items before extraction. Pocketing the loot is the adulting move of ARC Raiders.

Final Steps, Rewards, and Handy Tips

Return to Tian Wen and hand in the Magnetron and Flow Controller. Quest complete. Rewards typically include a Burletta III weapon, a Silencer II, an Extended Light Mag, and 100 Light Ammo — nice upgrades for your next run.

Quick tips: play stealthy around shredders, always check drawers and lockers in business/assembly zones, and prioritize extraction if your inventory gets messy. Also, pretend you’re a field photographer — and yes, the Rover accepts compliments.
