Standard LoR Meta Report – Patch 4.5 Week 1 – Best Ladder Decks

Meta Report for Standard format Patch 4.5 week 1 showcases all the data you need to understand the meta and start your climb.

Fizz Samira has been dominating the competitive scene, garnering the highest play rate on the ranked ladder and becoming a popular choice among players seeking a serious ladder climb. In response to its overwhelming power, Patch 4.5 has implemented nerfs to both Powder Pandemonium and Flair, but the question remains whether these adjustments are sufficient to rein in the deck’s prowess.

Additionally, the latest patch has introduced significant nerfs to Tristana and Bandle Gunners, resulting in a decrease in the overall play rate of all Tristana variants. The Bilgewater version of Tristana has been particularly impacted by the nerfs, as it heavily relied on the Bandle Gunners + Prize Fight combo to establish a winning condition.

Sources: The matches of data from May 24 to May 31 are from Runeterra.AR and LLor.

Most Successful Archetypes

Despite the nerfs to Flair and Powder Pandemonium, Fizz Samira maintains its spot in Tier 1. Kai’Sa Garen has exhibited exceptional performance on the ranked ladder, particularly with the rise of Karma Sett PZ.

A lot of versatility in Tier 2, where many decks gained an advantage following the toning down of Fizz Samira’s strength. Teemo Caitlyn FR has demonstrated decent performance on the ranked ladder. However, the Tristana decks have fallen out of favor in the meta, with only the Demacia variant still seeing play.

Bard Norra created by Sorry • last updated 4 months ago

A small part of the community has been experimenting with Bard Norra on the ranked ladder, incorporating Condense to copy Maduli, The Gatekeeper. Nevertheless, the deck continues to struggle to compete with popular meta decks such as Fizz Samira and Karma Sett.

Bard Norra maintains a win rate of 43.29%; it is still underperforming but has potential.

Underplayed and Overplayed Archetypes

In the chart below, I’ve plotted win rates versus play rates for 22 decks to demonstrate which archetypes can be seen as the ‘kings’ in the current meta, and which decks can be labeled as ‘overplayed’ or ‘underplayed’.

The Y-Axis represents the win rate whereas the X-Axis represents the play rate.

Meta Kings: Fizz Samira. Despite the nerfs, Fizz Samira continues to deliver solid performances in the meta, triumphing over most decks on the ranked ladder. While the archetype has been somewhat weakened by the nerfs to Flair and Powder Pandemonium, it retains its powerful prowess.

Overplayed: Teemo Caitlyn PZ and Norra Bard. Both decks are not performing well on the ranked ladder, holding a low win rate, and should not be played if you’re looking to seriously climb the ladder.

Underplayed: Annie Jhin. With the surge of Karma Sett PZ decks, Annie Jhin seems to be performing better in Patch 4.5, boasting one of the highest win rates on the ranked ladder.

LeBlanc Darius created by Sorry • last updated 4 months ago

LeBlanc Daruis is holding up well on the ranked ladder with a solid win rate. The archetype adopts an aggressive gameplay style, capitalizing on early units like Crimson Pigion, Ruthless Raider, Tusk Speaker, and LeBlanc. By utilizing Bone Club on a low-cost Overwhelm unit, the deck transforms them into formidable threats capable of striking the Nexus for a lot of damage.

Might has also been incorporated into the deck’s arsenal, providing units like LeBlanc and Combat Cook with the Overwhelm keyword, thereby converting their power into Overwhelm damage that can reach the Nexus.

Furthermore, the deck features Whirling Death and Decisive Maneuver, which should be used offensively to create a more powerful attack. Removing a unit blocking your Overwhelm attacker can set up the stage for a lethal attack.

Balance Watch: A little early to call for balance changes as the meta is still adjusting. Fizz Samira continues its solid performance, barely affected by the nerfs. However, other Samira decks like Pantheon Samira and Varus Samira suffered more from the nerf to Flair.

Most Popular Archetypes

Karma Sett has become the most-played deck across all ranks in Patch 4.5. The archetype’s win rate didn’t change much compared to the previous week, but the meta has been leaning toward countering Karma Sett. It currently has a 51.89% win rate across all ranks.
