Jhin Champion Card and Deckbuilding Rule Guide
Jhin is one of four new Champion cards making their debut in the sixth set of Legends of Runeterra, Worldwalker on May 25, 2022.
Jhin is a meticulous criminal psychopath who believes murder is art. Once an Ionian prisoner, but freed by shadowy elements within Ionia’s ruling council, the serial killer now works as their cabal’s assassin. Using his gun as his paintbrush, Jhin creates works of artistic brutality, horrifying victims and onlookers. He gains a cruel pleasure from putting on his gruesome theater, making him the ideal choice to send the most powerful of messages: terror.
Unlike other existing Champions in LoR, Jhin does not belong to any specific regions but deckbuilding is determined by his Origin keyword – The Virtuoso. In this guide, we will explain how this works and what cards are allowed in Jhin’s deck!
Card and Support Cards

Jhin is not a part of any region, and is marked by the generic “All” region icon. His origin is determined by “The Virtuoso” – allowing you to put any follower that has a Skill into your deck during deckbuilding as well as place Lotus Traps as you cast Fast/Slow spells and Skills. Playing 12+ of them will level Jhin up.
Deckbuilding Rules
As defined by the Origin keyword on the card, Jhin belongs to a generic region called “Runeterra” (defined by the region icon), which counts as one of your deck’s region and has a special effect that allows you to place Lotus Trap for every 3 cost Fast/Slow spells or Skills while you Behold Jhin.
Special deckbuilding rules also apply:
- You can put in any follower (not other Champions) from the game in the deck as long as they have a Skill, regardless of their region. They are usually abilities that trigger when units come into play, marked by a yellow circle icon on the card. You can see the complete valid follower list with Skill below.

- You can choose any one other region.
This means that a Jhin deck can contain a variety of followers from any region with a Skill, plus any of the cards from another region of your choice.
