The Darkin Saga: Awakening New Card Spoilers & Expansion Guide

Legends of Runeterra’s upcoming expansion, The Darkin Saga: Awakening, is set to release on August 31st, 2022! This expansion adds five new champions including Kayn as the new Runeterran champion with unique deckbuilding rules, a new card type Equipment, and 65 new collectible cards. On this page, you can track all the most recent spoilers. The reveals are happening every day around 9 AM PST, so come back daily to check out fresh updates.

Remember that right now you can already go and theorycraft with all the cards revealed so far from the expansion in our Deck Builder! We add new cards very shortly after they’ve been officially unveiled.

New Mechanics and Keywords

New Origin: The Shadow Reaper

You may put any cultist cards into your deck during deckbuilding. Once you have summoned 3+ different cultist units, draw a Kayn.

New Card Type: Equipment

Equip to a unit to grant the listed bonuses. If the unit leaves play, the equipment will return to your hand.

You may play each equipment at most once per round.

New Vocab: Auto-Equip

Automatically equips this item from hand or play when summoned, creating it first if needed.

New Vocab: Flow

A card triggers its flow ability if you played 2+ spells or skills last round.

New Vocab: Improvize

Choose one of two random options from a depleting pool of equipment and equip it to this ally.

If the ally wasn’t played from hand, it equips a random equipment instead.

New Origin: Grandmaster at Arms

You may put any Weaponmaster cards into your deck during deckbuilding.

New Vocab: Forge

Grant an ally +1|+1.

If the ally is equipped, grant it to their item instead.
